Happy New Year Independent American Patriots.
As my family and I recover from our recent bout with illness, we have been blessed with some time to reflect on the year we have had and the one that we now find ourselves in. Like many Independent Americans, we find ourselves looking at a sea of wicked politicians who have long forgotten how to represent and respect their constituents. Most have forgotten that they are public servants who represent the needs and issues of their local populace and instead represent corrupt organizations, businesses, and special interest groups. Following the trail of donations and insider information is not difficult and the voting records speak for themselves.
Our own organization experienced this when we were the Independent American Party. Any political party attracts the most despicable characters bent on power, greed, and selfish ideologies. As our organization has begun the process of transforming into a Private Membership Organization that actively works to defend our inalienable rights and promote strong independent communities, we have discovered that many doors are opening for honest discussion and dialogue.
We will continue to lead by example in standing against unconstitutional and unprincipled legislation. January is a busy time for our household as we are actively pouring through the proposed legislation and pointing out the problems in them and working outside of our network to stop what we can. Our state legislators propose between 2,000 and 3,000 individual pieces of legislation each year and each must be poured through and opposed when possible. We will keep our Washington State group apprised of the key pieces of legislation that we are opposed to or support. We encourage our State Coordinators to actively keep up with what their Legislative body is doing within their state and report any concerns that they would like to share on a national level. Last year we had great success in reaching out to Independent Candidates across the country and providing access to an Independent Platform to help get their message out. I have interviewed over two dozen Independent Candidates for President, Governor, and Representatives and provided independent advice on the challenges and potential solutions in their campaigns. We conducted our first Independent American Patriot Candidate Forum, and we are looking forward to building from that success this year in helping more Independent American Candidates. We hope to encourage all members to get involved by going to their local city council and county commissioner meetings so that they can stay informed and involved on a local level. School Boards, Hospital Boards, and other public governmental committees are great opportunities for those who are passionate about specialized branches of government. The key here is to get involved.
It is a new year and that means that it’s time to pay your 2024 annual dues. You may recall that we lowered our annual dues last year and standardized them to $25 for an annual membership due or $500 for a lifetime membership. Those members choosing not to pay will be moved to the inactive membership status, and be unable to vote in elections, but will still receive our general membership emails and information until they request to be removed. Also, as a reminder all National and State leadership need to be paying members for them to be able to vote and fulfill their obligations. We continue to accept donations regardless of membership status. One of the things that I admittedly am not good at is fundraising and asking people to help. I am committed to getting better at this so that we can increase the benefits and strength of our organization moving forward.
Lastly, I am appealing to you directly to get involved as Independent Americans. Our organization is looking for those who are tired of sitting on the sidelines and get involved. We are actively looking for new County Coordinators, State Legislative Coordinators, and State Communications Managers. This year is setting up to be one of the most critical moments in our nation’s history. Our nation desperately needs you to get involved in every way that you have the capacity to do. The liberty and independence of each of us, as well as our children, and grandchildren, is on the line. From Politics to Community Service there is something that you can do. If not you, who?
